HCI Summary

HCI has had a dramatic effect on the way people lives their lives in this generation, for example there are new type of technology which is supposedly taken over our lives, but I believe that this statement is false. In the case of virtual reality people believe that it will become the new reality which we live in, because it creates a new life for everyone even disabled users, they will now be able to live a normal life without any disabilities. Also it has created most of the money that is produced now a days, 100 years ago people made money from selling things such as animals and weapons, but now people can make money very easily they can just sell new types of technology and the selling price of a product is a lot more than what it costs to actually create the product, this is how companies make money. HCI has had a positive effect on culture, economy and society, it has create new ideas and products making today a better and more advanced place to live in, but also it has had a negative effect for example, it has been pinned to the increase in obesity levels and had also been said to create more violence, but this is caused by the more life-like video games on the market.

I believe that HCI will affect the future massively, in both a good way and in a bad way, for example new improved types of product will be created that will take the world to a new level of technology and seem brilliant, but to create these types of products it will cost a lot of resources putting the planet in a bad way, it will cost lots of money to get the new products perfect and probably most of the planets resources emphasising Global warming problems. Also people believe that in the future the obesity levels will increase because people won’t have to do anything, for example people have remote control which can do anything in the household, in the future this will be at a more advanced stage so eventually you will not have to move to do things such as open the fridge or cook some food. I believe that in the future product will be created that can show a person’s vital signs on a handheld system.
